How To Install libnsl2 on Fedora 36
Introduction
In this tutorial we learn how to install libnsl2
on Fedora 36.
What is libnsl2
This package contains the libnsl library. This library contains the public client interface for NIS(YP) and NIS+. This code was formerly part of glibc, but is now standalone to be able to link against TI-RPC for IPv6 support.
We can use yum
or dnf
to install libnsl2
on Fedora 36. In this tutorial we discuss both methods but you only need to choose one of method to install libnsl2.
Install libnsl2 on Fedora 36 Using dnf
Update yum database with dnf
using the following command.
sudo dnf makecache --refresh
After updating yum database, We can install libnsl2
using dnf
by running the following command:
sudo dnf -y install libnsl2
Install libnsl2 on Fedora 36 Using yum
Update yum database with yum
using the following command.
sudo yum makecache --refresh
After updating yum database, We can install libnsl2
using yum
by running the following command:
sudo yum -y install libnsl2
How To Uninstall libnsl2 on Fedora 36
To uninstall only the libnsl2
package we can use the following command:
sudo dnf remove libnsl2
