The libmp4v2 library provides an abstraction layer for working with files using the mp4 container format. This library is developed by mpeg4ip project and is an exact copy of the library distributed in the mpeg4ip package.
We can use yum
or dnf
to install libmp4v2
on Fedora 36. In this tutorial we discuss both methods but you only need to choose one of method to install libmp4v2.
Install libmp4v2 on Fedora 36 Using dnf
Update yum database with dnf
using the following command.
sudo dnf makecache --refresh
After updating yum database, We can install libmp4v2
using dnf
by running the following command:
sudo dnf -y install libmp4v2
Install libmp4v2 on Fedora 36 Using yum

using the following command.
sudo yum makecache --refresh

To uninstall only the libmp4v2
