How To Install libfl-static on Fedora 36
Introduction
In this tutorial we learn how to install libfl-static
on Fedora 36.
What is libfl-static
flex is a tool for generating scanners. This package contains the static library with default implementations of
main' and
yywrap’ functions that binaries using flex can choose to statically link against instead of implementing their own.
We can use yum
or dnf
to install libfl-static
on Fedora 36. In this tutorial we discuss both methods but you only need to choose one of method to install libfl-static.
Install libfl-static on Fedora 36 Using dnf
Update yum database with dnf
using the following command.
sudo dnf makecache --refresh
After updating yum database, We can install libfl-static
using dnf
by running the following command:
sudo dnf -y install libfl-static
Install libfl-static on Fedora 36 Using yum
Update yum database with yum
using the following command.
sudo yum makecache --refresh
After updating yum database, We can install libfl-static
using yum
by running the following command:
sudo yum -y install libfl-static
How To Uninstall libfl-static on Fedora 36
To uninstall only the libfl-static
package we can use the following command:
sudo dnf remove libfl-static
