What is latencytop-common
LatencyTOP is a tool for software developers (both kernel and userspace), aimed at identifying where in the system latency is happening, and what kind of operation/action is causing the latency to happen so that the code can be changed to avoid the worst latency hiccups. This package contains files needed by both the GUI and TUI builds of LatencyTOP.
We can use yum
or dnf
to install latencytop-common
on Fedora 36. In this tutorial we discuss both methods but you only need to choose one of method to install latencytop-common.
Install latencytop-common on Fedora 36 Using dnf
Update yum database with dnf
using the following command.
sudo dnf makecache --refresh
After updating yum database, We can install latencytop-common
using dnf
by running the following command:
sudo dnf -y install latencytop-common

sudo yum makecache --refresh
