In this tutorial we learn how to install kissat on Fedora 36.

What is kissat

KISSAT is a “keep it simple and clean bare metal SAT solver” written in C. It is a port of CaDiCaL back to C with improved data structures, better scheduling of inprocessing and optimized algorithms and implementation. Coincidentally ‘kissat’ also means ‘cats’ in Finnish. This package contains a command-line interface to KISSAT.

We can use yum or dnf to install kissat on Fedora 36. In this tutorial we discuss both methods but you only need to choose one of method to install kissat.

Install kissat on Fedora 36 Using dnf

Update yum database with dnf using the following command.

sudo dnf makecache --refresh

After updating yum database, We can install kissat using dnf by running the following command:

sudo dnf -y install kissat

Install kissat on Fedora 36 Using yum

Update yum database with yum using the following command.

sudo yum makecache --refresh

After updating yum database, We can install kissat using yum by running the following command:

sudo yum -y install kissat

How To Uninstall kissat on Fedora 36

To uninstall only the kissat package we can use the following command:

sudo dnf remove kissat
