What is hyperscan-devel
Hyperscan is a high-performance multiple regex matching library. It follows the regular expression syntax of the commonly-used libpcre library, but is a standalone library with its own C API. Hyperscan uses hybrid automata techniques to allow simultaneous matching of large numbers (up to tens of thousands) of regular expressions and for the matching of regular expressions across streams of data. Hyperscan is typically used in a DPI library stack. This package provides the libraries, include files and other resources needed for developing Hyperscan applications.
We can use yum
or dnf
to install hyperscan-devel
on Fedora 36. In this tutorial we discuss both methods but you only need to choose one of method to install hyperscan-devel.
Install hyperscan-devel on Fedora 36 Using dnf
Update yum database with dnf
using the following command.
sudo dnf makecache --refresh
After updating yum database, We can install hyperscan-devel
using dnf
by running the following command:
sudo dnf -y install hyperscan-devel
Install hyperscan-devel on Fedora 36 Using yum
Update yum database with yum
using the following command.
sudo yum makecache --refresh
After updating yum database, We can install hyperscan-devel
using yum

How To Uninstall hyperscan-devel on Fedora 36
To uninstall only the hyperscan-devel
