How To Install guilt on Fedora 36
Introduction
In this tutorial we learn how to install guilt
on Fedora 36.
What is guilt
Guilt allows one to use quilt functionality on top of a Git repository. Changes are maintained as patches which are committed into Git. Commits can be removed or reordered, and the underlying patch can be refreshed based on changes made in the working directory. The patch directory can also be placed under revision control, so you can have a separate history of changes made to your patches.
We can use yum
or dnf
to install guilt
on Fedora 36. In this tutorial we discuss both methods but you only need to choose one of method to install guilt.
Install guilt on Fedora 36 Using dnf
Update yum database with dnf
using the following command.
sudo dnf makecache --refresh
After updating yum database, We can install guilt
using dnf
by running the following command:
sudo dnf -y install guilt
Install guilt on Fedora 36 Using yum
Update yum database with yum
using the following command.
sudo yum makecache --refresh
After updating yum database, We can install guilt
using yum
by running the following command:
sudo yum -y install guilt
