In this tutorial we learn how to install guava on Fedora 36.

What is guava

Guava is a suite of core and expanded libraries that include utility classes, Google’s collections, io classes, and much much more. This project is a complete packaging of all the Guava libraries into a single jar. Individual portions of Guava can be used by downloading the appropriate module and its dependencies.

We can use yum or dnf to install guava on Fedora 36. In this tutorial we discuss both methods but you only need to choose one of method to install guava.

Install guava on Fedora 36 Using dnf

Update yum database with dnf using the following command.

sudo dnf makecache --refresh

After updating yum database, We can install guava using dnf by running the following command:

sudo dnf -y install guava

Install guava on Fedora 36 Using yum

Update yum database with yum using the following command.

sudo yum makecache --refresh

After updating yum database, We can install guava using yum by running the following command:

sudo yum -y install guava

How To Uninstall guava on Fedora 36

To uninstall only the guava package we can use the following command:

sudo dnf remove guava
