How To Install gst-entrans on Fedora 36
Introduction
In this tutorial we learn how to install gst-entrans
on Fedora 36.
What is gst-entrans
GEntrans is a software package providing a collection of plug-ins and tools for the GStreamer multimedia framework specifically geared towards transcoding and recording purposes. GStreamer allows for easy multimedia processing and creation of multimedia applications, as e.g. demonstrated by a number of players and some other applications already built on it. The purpose here is to concentrate on using the framework for transcoding purposes.
We can use yum
or dnf
to install gst-entrans
on Fedora 36. In this tutorial we discuss both methods but you only need to choose one of method to install gst-entrans.
Install gst-entrans on Fedora 36 Using dnf
Update yum database with dnf
using the following command.
sudo dnf makecache --refresh
After updating yum database, We can install gst-entrans
using dnf
by running the following command:
sudo dnf -y install gst-entrans
Install gst-entrans on Fedora 36 Using yum
Update yum database with yum
using the following command.
sudo yum makecache --refresh
After updating yum database, We can install gst-entrans
using yum
by running the following command:
sudo yum -y install gst-entrans
How To Uninstall gst-entrans on Fedora 36
To uninstall only the gst-entrans
package we can use the following command:
sudo dnf remove gst-entrans
