What is gsi-openssh-clients
OpenSSH is a free version of SSH (Secure SHell), a program for logging into and executing commands on a remote machine. This package includes the clients necessary to make encrypted connections to SSH servers. This version of OpenSSH has been modified to support GSI authentication.
We can use yum or dnf to install gsi-openssh-clients on Fedora 36. In this tutorial we discuss both methods but you only need to choose one of method to install gsi-openssh-clients.
Install gsi-openssh-clients on Fedora 36 Using dnf
Update yum database with dnf using the following command.
sudo dnf makecache --refresh
After updating yum database, We can install gsi-openssh-clients using dnf by running the following command:
sudo dnf -y install gsi-openssh-clients
Install gsi-openssh-clients on Fedora 36 Using yum
Update yum database with yum using the following command.
sudo yum makecache --refresh
After updating yum database, We can install gsi-openssh-clients using yum by running the following command:
sudo yum -y install gsi-openssh-clients
How To Uninstall gsi-openssh-clients on Fedora 36
To uninstall only the gsi-openssh-clients package we can use the following command:
sudo dnf remove gsi-openssh-clients
