What is gle-doc

GLE (Graphics Layout Engine) is a high-quality graphics package for scientists, combining a user-friendly scripting language with a full range of facilities for producing publication-quality graphs, diagrams, posters and slides. GLE provides LaTeX quality fonts together with a flexible graphics module which allows the user to specify any feature of a graph. Complex pictures can be drawn with user-defined subroutines and simple looping structures. Current output formats include EPS, PS, PDF, JPEG, and PNG. This package contains the user documentation.

We can use yum or dnf to install gle-doc on Fedora 36. In this tutorial we discuss both methods but you only need to choose one of method to install gle-doc.

Update yum database with dnf using the following command.

sudo dnf makecache --refresh

After updating yum database, We can install gle-doc using dnf by running the following command:

sudo yum makecache --refresh

After updating yum database, We can install gle-doc using yum by running the following command:

How To Uninstall gle-doc on Fedora 36

To uninstall only the gle-doc package we can use the following command:

sudo dnf remove gle-doc
