In this tutorial we learn how to install glade on Fedora 36.

What is `glade`

Glade is a RAD tool to enable quick and easy development of user interfaces for the GTK+ toolkit and the GNOME desktop environment. The user interfaces designed in Glade are saved as XML, which can be used in numerous programming languages including C, C++, C#, Vala, Java, Perl, Python, and others.

We can use yum or dnf to install glade on Fedora 36. In this tutorial we discuss both methods but you only need to choose one of method to install glade.

Install glade on Fedora 36 Using dnf

Update yum database with dnf using the following command.

sudo dnf makecache --refresh

After updating yum database, We can install glade using dnf by running the following command:

sudo dnf -y install glade

Install glade on Fedora 36 Using yum

Update yum database with yum using the following command.

sudo yum makecache --refresh

After updating yum database, We can install glade using yum by running the following command:

sudo yum -y install glade

How To Uninstall glade on Fedora 36

To uninstall only the glade package we can use the following command:

sudo dnf remove glade
