What is getdp

GetDP is an open source finite element solver using mixed elements to discretize de Rham-type complexes in one, two and three dimensions. The main feature of GetDP is the closeness between the input data defining discrete problems (written by the user in ASCII data files) and the symbolic mathematical expressions of these problems.

We can use yum or dnf to install getdp on Fedora 36. In this tutorial we discuss both methods but you only need to choose one of method to install getdp.

Install getdp on Fedora 36 Using dnf

Update yum database with dnf using the following command.

sudo dnf makecache --refresh

After updating yum database, We can install getdp using dnf by running the following command:

sudo dnf -y install getdp

Install getdp on Fedora 36 Using yum
