How To Install getdata-bzip2 on Fedora 36
Introduction
In this tutorial we learn how to install getdata-bzip2
on Fedora 36.
What is getdata-bzip2
Enables getdata to read dirfiles that are encoded (compressed) with bzip2. Fields must be fully compressed with bzip2, not actively being written to. Does not yet allow writing of bzip2 encoded dirfiles.
We can use yum
or dnf
to install getdata-bzip2
on Fedora 36. In this tutorial we discuss both methods but you only need to choose one of method to install getdata-bzip2.
Install getdata-bzip2 on Fedora 36 Using dnf
Update yum database with dnf
using the following command.
sudo dnf makecache --refresh
After updating yum database, We can install getdata-bzip2
using dnf
by running the following command:
sudo dnf -y install getdata-bzip2
Install getdata-bzip2 on Fedora 36 Using yum
Update yum database with yum
using the following command.
sudo yum makecache --refresh
After updating yum database, We can install getdata-bzip2
using yum
by running the following command:
sudo yum -y install getdata-bzip2
How To Uninstall getdata-bzip2 on Fedora 36
To uninstall only the getdata-bzip2
package we can use the following command:
sudo dnf remove getdata-bzip2
