In this tutorial we learn how to install freedroid on Fedora 36.

What is freedroid

This is a clone of the classic game “Paradroid” on Commodore 64 with some improvements and extensions to the classic version. In this game, you control a robot, depicted by a small white ball with a few numbers within an interstellar spaceship consisting of several decks connected by elevators. The aim of the game is to destroy all enemy robots, depicted by small black balls with a few numbers, by either shooting them or seizing control over them by creating connections in a short subgame of electric circuits.

We can use yum or dnf to install freedroid on Fedora 36. In this tutorial we discuss both methods but you only need to choose one of method to install freedroid.

Install freedroid on Fedora 36 Using dnf

Update yum database with dnf using the following command.

sudo dnf makecache --refresh

After updating yum database, We can install freedroid using dnf by running the following command:

sudo dnf -y install freedroid

Install freedroid on Fedora 36 Using yum

Update yum database with yum using the following command.

sudo yum makecache --refresh

After updating yum database, We can install freedroid using yum by running the following command:

sudo yum -y install freedroid

How To Uninstall freedroid on Fedora 36

To uninstall only the freedroid package we can use the following command:

sudo dnf remove freedroid
