What is fftw-devel
FFTW is a C subroutine library for computing the Discrete Fourier Transform (DFT) in one or more dimensions, of both real and complex data, and of arbitrary input size. This package contains header files and development libraries needed to develop programs using the FFTW fast Fourier transform library.
We can use yum or dnf to install fftw-devel on Fedora 36. In this tutorial we discuss both methods but you only need to choose one of method to install fftw-devel.
Install fftw-devel on Fedora 36 Using dnf
Update yum database with dnf using the following command.
sudo dnf makecache --refresh
After updating yum database, We can install fftw-devel using dnf by running the following command:
sudo dnf -y install fftw-devel
Install fftw-devel on Fedora 36 Using yum
Update yum database with yum using the following command.
sudo yum makecache --refresh
After updating yum database, We can install fftw-devel using yum by running the following command:
sudo yum -y install fftw-devel
How To Uninstall fftw-devel on Fedora 36
To uninstall only the fftw-devel package we can use the following command:
sudo dnf remove fftw-devel
