How To Install exa on Fedora 36

What is exa
exa is a modern replacement for the command-line program ls that ships with Unix and Linux operating systems, with more features and better defaults. It uses colours to distinguish file types and metadata. It knows about symlinks, extended attributes, and Git. And it’s small, fast, and just one single binary.
We can use yum or dnf to install exa on Fedora 36. In this tutorial we discuss both methods but you only need to choose one of method to install exa.
Install exa on Fedora 36 Using dnf
Update yum database with dnf using the following command.
sudo dnf makecache --refresh
After updating yum database, We can install exa using dnf by running the following command:
sudo dnf -y install exa
Install exa on Fedora 36 Using yum
Update yum database with yum using the following command.
sudo yum makecache --refresh
After updating yum database, We can install exa using yum by running the following command:
sudo yum -y install exa
How To Uninstall exa on Fedora 36
To uninstall only the exa package we can use the following command:
sudo dnf remove exa
