What is emelfm2
emelFM2 is the GTK+2 port of emelFM. emelFM2 is a file manager that implements the popular two-pane design. It features a simple GTK+2 interface, a flexible file typing scheme, and a built-in command line for executing commands without opening an xterm.
We can use yum or dnf to install emelfm2 on Fedora 36. In this tutorial we discuss both methods but you only need to choose one of method to install emelfm2.
Install emelfm2 on Fedora 36 Using dnf
Update yum database with dnf using the following command.
sudo dnf makecache --refresh
After updating yum database, We can install emelfm2 using dnf by running the following command:
sudo dnf -y install emelfm2
Install emelfm2 on Fedora 36 Using yum
Update yum database with yum using the following command.
sudo yum makecache --refresh
After updating yum database, We can install emelfm2 using yum by running the following command:
sudo yum -y install emelfm2
How To Uninstall emelfm2 on Fedora 36
To uninstall only the emelfm2 package we can use the following command:
sudo dnf remove emelfm2
