How To Install dnstop on Fedora 36

In this tutorial we learn how to install dnstop
on Fedora 36.
What is dnstop
dnstop is a libpcap application (ala tcpdump) that displays various tables of DNS traffic on your network. dnstop supports both IPv4 and IPv6 addresses. To help find especially undesirable DNS queries, dnstop provides a number of filters. dnstop can either read packets from the live capture device, or from a tcpdump savefile.
We can use yum
or dnf
to install dnstop
on Fedora 36. In this tutorial we discuss both methods but you only need to choose one of method to install dnstop.
Install dnstop on Fedora 36 Using dnf
Update yum database with dnf
using the following command.
sudo dnf makecache --refresh
After updating yum database, We can install dnstop
using dnf
by running the following command:
sudo dnf -y install dnstop
Install dnstop on Fedora 36 Using yum
Update yum database with yum
using the following command.
sudo yum makecache --refresh
After updating yum database, We can install dnstop
using yum
by running the following command:
sudo yum -y install dnstop
How To Uninstall dnstop on Fedora 36
To uninstall only the dnstop
