Introduction
In this tutorial we learn how to install cu
on Fedora 36.
What is cu
The cu command is used to call up another system and act as a dial-in terminal (mostly on a serial line). It can also do simple file transfers with no error checking. cu is part of the UUCP source but has been split into its own package because it can be useful even if you do not do uucp.
We can use yum
or dnf
to install cu
on Fedora 36. In this tutorial we discuss both methods but you only need to choose one of method to install cu.
Install cu on Fedora 36 Using dnf
Update yum database with dnf
using the following command.
sudo dnf makecache --refresh
After updating yum database, We can install cu
using dnf
by running the following command:
sudo dnf -y install cu

using the following command.
sudo yum makecache --refresh
After updating yum database, We can install cu
using yum
by running the following command:
sudo yum -y install cu
How To Uninstall cu on Fedora 36
To uninstall only the cu
