What is cool-retro-term
cool-retro-term is a terminal emulator which tries to mimic the look and feel of the old cathode tube screens. It has been designed to be eye-candy, customizable, and reasonably lightweight.
We can use yum
or dnf
to install cool-retro-term
on Fedora 36. In this tutorial we discuss both methods but you only need to choose one of method to install cool-retro-term.
Install cool-retro-term on Fedora 36 Using dnf
Update yum database with dnf
using the following command.
sudo dnf makecache --refresh
After updating yum database, We can install cool-retro-term
using dnf
by running the following command:
sudo dnf -y install cool-retro-term
Install cool-retro-term on Fedora 36 Using yum
Update yum database with yum
using the following command.
sudo yum makecache --refresh
After updating yum database, We can install cool-retro-term
using yum
by running the following command:
sudo yum -y install cool-retro-term
How To Uninstall cool-retro-term on Fedora 36
To uninstall only the cool-retro-term
package we can use the following command:
sudo dnf remove cool-retro-term
