How To Install clips-emacs on Fedora 36

In this tutorial we learn how to install clips-emacs
on Fedora 36.
What is clips-emacs
This package contains CLIPS emacs scripts. CLIPS (C Language Integrated Production System) is an expert system development tool which provides a complete environment for the construction of rule and/or object based expert systems. Created in 1985 by NASA at the Johnson Space Center, CLIPS is now widely used throughout the government, industry, and academia.
We can use yum
or dnf
to install clips-emacs
on Fedora 36. In this tutorial we discuss both methods but you only need to choose one of method to install clips-emacs.
Install clips-emacs on Fedora 36 Using dnf
Update yum database with dnf
using the following command.
sudo dnf makecache --refresh
After updating yum database, We can install clips-emacs
using dnf
by running the following command:
sudo dnf -y install clips-emacs
Install clips-emacs on Fedora 36 Using yum
Update yum database with yum
using the following command.
sudo yum makecache --refresh
After updating yum database, We can install clips-emacs
using yum
by running the following command:
sudo yum -y install clips-emacs
How To Uninstall clips-emacs on Fedora 36
To uninstall only the clips-emacs
package we can use the following command:
sudo dnf remove clips-emacs
