How To Install clips on Fedora 36
Introduction
In this tutorial we learn how to install clips
on Fedora 36.
What is clips
CLIPS (C Language Integrated Production System) is an expert system development tool which provides a complete environment for the construction of rule and/or object based expert systems. Created in 1985 by NASA at the Johnson Space Center, CLIPS is now widely used throughout the government, industry, and academia. This package provides the CLIPS command line environment and the clips library.
We can use yum
or dnf
to install clips
on Fedora 36. In this tutorial we discuss both methods but you only need to choose one of method to install clips.
Install clips on Fedora 36 Using dnf
Update yum database with dnf
using the following command.
sudo dnf makecache --refresh
After updating yum database, We can install clips
using dnf
by running the following command:
sudo dnf -y install clips
Install clips on Fedora 36 Using yum
Update yum database with yum
using the following command.
sudo yum makecache --refresh
After updating yum database, We can install clips
using yum
by running the following command:
sudo yum -y install clips
How To Uninstall clips on Fedora 36
To uninstall only the clips
package we can use the following command:
sudo dnf remove clips
