How To Install clatd on Fedora 36
Introduction
In this tutorial we learn how to install clatd
on Fedora 36.
What is clatd
clatd implements the CLAT component of the 464XLAT network architecture specified in RFC 6877. It allows an IPv6-only host to have IPv4 connectivity that is translated to IPv6 before being routed to an upstream PLAT (which is typically a Stateful NAT64 operated by the ISP) and there translated back to IPv4 before being routed to the IPv4 internet.
We can use yum
or dnf
to install clatd
on Fedora 36. In this tutorial we discuss both methods but you only need to choose one of method to install clatd.
Install clatd on Fedora 36 Using dnf
Update yum database with dnf
using the following command.
sudo dnf makecache --refresh
After updating yum database, We can install clatd
using dnf
by running the following command:
sudo dnf -y install clatd
Install clatd on Fedora 36 Using yum
Update yum database with yum
using the following command.
sudo yum makecache --refresh
After updating yum database, We can install clatd
using yum
by running the following command:
sudo yum -y install clatd
How To Uninstall clatd on Fedora 36
To uninstall only the clatd
package we can use the following command:
sudo dnf remove clatd
