In this tutorial we learn how to install ccsm on Fedora 36.

What is `ccsm`

The Compiz Project brings 3D desktop visual effects that improve usability of the X Window System and provide increased productivity though plugins and themes contributed by the community giving a rich desktop experience. This package contains a GUI configuration tool to configure Compiz plugins and the composite window manager.

We can use yum or dnf to install ccsm on Fedora 36. In this tutorial we discuss both methods but you only need to choose one of method to install ccsm.

Install ccsm on Fedora 36 Using dnf

Update yum database with dnf using the following command.

sudo dnf makecache --refresh

After updating yum database, We can install ccsm using dnf by running the following command:

sudo dnf -y install ccsm

Install ccsm on Fedora 36 Using yum

Update yum database with yum using the following command.

sudo yum makecache --refresh

After updating yum database, We can install ccsm using yum by running the following command:

sudo yum -y install ccsm

How To Uninstall ccsm on Fedora 36

To uninstall only the ccsm package we can use the following command:

sudo dnf remove ccsm
