How To Install cawbird on Fedora 36
Introduction
In this tutorial we learn how to install cawbird
on Fedora 36.
What is cawbird
Cawbird is a fork of the Corebird Twitter client from Baedert, which became unsupported after Twitter disabled the streaming API. Cawbird works with the new APIs and includes a few fixes and modifications that have historically been patched in to IBBoard’s custom Corebird build on his personal Open Build Service account.
We can use yum
or dnf
to install cawbird
on Fedora 36. In this tutorial we discuss both methods but you only need to choose one of method to install cawbird.
Install cawbird on Fedora 36 Using dnf
Update yum database with dnf
using the following command.
sudo dnf makecache --refresh
After updating yum database, We can install cawbird
using dnf
by running the following command:
sudo dnf -y install cawbird
Install cawbird on Fedora 36 Using yum
Update yum database with yum
using the following command.
sudo yum makecache --refresh
After updating yum database, We can install cawbird
using yum
by running the following command:
sudo yum -y install cawbird
How To Uninstall cawbird on Fedora 36
To uninstall only the cawbird
package we can use the following command:
sudo dnf remove cawbird
