Introduction
In this tutorial we learn how to install boltdb
on Fedora 36.
What is boltdb
Bolt is a pure Go key/value store inspired by Howard Chu’s LMDB project. The goal of the project is to provide a simple, fast, and reliable database for projects that don’t require a full database server such as Postgres or MySQL. Since Bolt is meant to be used as such a low-level piece of functionality, simplicity is key. The API will be small and only focus on getting values and setting values. That’s it. This package contains the bolt binary.
We can use yum
or dnf
to install boltdb
on Fedora 36. In this tutorial we discuss both methods but you only need to choose one of method to install boltdb.
Install boltdb on Fedora 36 Using dnf
Update yum database with dnf
using the following command.
sudo dnf makecache --refresh
After updating yum database, We can install boltdb
using dnf
by running the following command:
sudo dnf -y install boltdb
Install boltdb on Fedora 36 Using yum
Update yum database with yum
using the following command.
sudo yum makecache --refresh
After updating yum database, We can install boltdb
using yum
by running the following command:
sudo yum -y install boltdb
How To Uninstall boltdb on Fedora 36
To uninstall only the boltdb
package we can use the following command:
sudo dnf remove boltdb
