In this tutorial we learn how to install amprd on Fedora 36.

What is amprd

An user-space IPIP encapsulation daemon with automatic RIPv2 multicast processing and multiple tunnel support for the ampr network. All RIPv2 processing, encapsulation, decapsulation and routing happens inside the daemon and it offers one or more virtual TUN interfaces to the system for your 44net traffic.

We can use yum or dnf to install amprd on Fedora 36. In this tutorial we discuss both methods but you only need to choose one of method to install amprd.

Install amprd on Fedora 36 Using dnf

Update yum database with dnf using the following command.

sudo dnf makecache --refresh

After updating yum database, We can install amprd using dnf by running the following command:

sudo dnf -y install amprd

Install amprd on Fedora 36 Using yum

Update yum database with yum using the following command.

sudo yum makecache --refresh

After updating yum database, We can install amprd using yum by running the following command:

sudo yum -y install amprd

How To Uninstall amprd on Fedora 36
