Introduction

In this tutorial we learn how to install xkbset on Fedora 34.

What is xkbset

xkbset is a program rather like xset in that it allows you to set various features of the X window interface. It allows one to configure most of the options connected with the XKB extensions. They are described in Section 10 of XKBlib.ps. This includes customizing the following MouseKeys StickyKeys next key press (good for one finger typing); SlowKeys amount of time; BounceKeys press will be registered.

We can use yum or dnf to install xkbset on Fedora 34. In this tutorial we discuss both methods but you only need to choose one of method to install xkbset.

Install xkbset on Fedora 34 Using dnf

Update yum database with dnf using the following command.

sudo dnf makecache --refresh

The output should look something like this:

After updating yum database, We can install xkbset using dnf by running the following command:

sudo dnf -y install xkbset

Install xkbset on Fedora 34 Using yum

Update yum database with yum using the following command.

How To Uninstall xkbset on Fedora 34

To uninstall only the xkbset package we can use the following command:

sudo dnf remove xkbset
