Weston is the reference wayland compositor that can run on KMS, under X11 or under another compositor. weston 8.0.0 8.fc34 x86_64 629 k weston-8.0.0-8.fc34.src.rpm updates Reference compositor for Wayland http BSD and CC-BY-SA Weston is the reference wayland compositor that can run on KMS, under X11 or under another compositor.
We can use yum or dnf to install weston on Fedora 34. In this tutorial we discuss both methods but you only need to choose one of method to install weston.
Install weston on Fedora 34 Using dnf
Update yum database with dnf using the following command.
sudo dnf makecache --refresh
The output should look something like this:
