What is twolame

TwoLAME is an optimized MPEG Audio Layer 2 encoding library based on tooLAME, which in turn is based heavily on - the ISO dist10 code - improvement to algorithms as part of the LAME project (www.sulaco.org/mp3) This package contains the command line frontend.

We can use yum or dnf to install twolame on Fedora 34. In this tutorial we discuss both methods but you only need to choose one of method to install twolame.

Install twolame on Fedora 34 Using dnf

Update yum database with dnf using the following command.

sudo dnf makecache --refresh

The output should look something like this:

After updating yum database, We can install twolame using dnf by running the following command:

sudo dnf -y install twolame
