Introduction

In this tutorial we learn how to install SuperLU on Fedora 34.

What is `SuperLU`

SuperLU contains a set of subroutines to solve a sparse linear system AX=B. It uses Gaussian elimination with partial pivoting (GEPP). The columns of A may be preordered before factorization; the preordering for sparsity is completely separate from the factorization. Install SuperLU on Fedora 34 Using dnf

Update yum database with dnf using the following command.

sudo dnf makecache --refresh

The output should look something like this:

After updating yum database, We can install SuperLU using dnf by running the following command:

sudo dnf -y install SuperLU

Install SuperLU on Fedora 34 Using yum

Update yum database with yum using the following command.

How To Uninstall SuperLU on Fedora 34

To uninstall only the SuperLU package we can use the following command:

sudo dnf remove SuperLU
