on Fedora 34.
What is pystring
Pystring is a collection of C++ functions which match the interface and behavior of Python’s string class methods using std C++, it does not require or make use of a Python interpreter. It provides convenience and familiarity for common string operations not included in the standard C++ library. It’s also useful in environments where both C++ and Python are used. Overlapping functionality (such as index and slice/substr) of std included to match Python interfaces. We can use yum
or dnf
to install pystring
on Fedora 34. In this tutorial we discuss both methods but you only need to choose one of method to install pystring.
Install pystring on Fedora 34 Using dnf
Update yum database with dnf
using the following command.
sudo dnf makecache --refresh
The output should look something like this:

After updating yum database, We can install pystring
using dnf
by running the following command:
sudo dnf -y install pystring
Install pystring on Fedora 34 Using yum

using the following command.

How To Uninstall pystring on Fedora 34
To uninstall only the pystring
