How To Install picocli on Fedora 34

What is picocli

Picocli is a modern library and framework, written in Java, that contains both an annotations API and a programmatic API. It features usage help with ANSI colors and styles, TAB auto-completion and nested sub-commands. In a single file, so you can include it in source form. This lets users run picocli-based applications without requiring picocli as an external dependency.

We can use yum or dnf to install picocli on Fedora 34. In this tutorial we discuss both methods but you only need to choose one of method to install picocli.

Install picocli on Fedora 34 Using dnf

Update yum database with dnf using the following command.

sudo dnf makecache --refresh

The output should look something like this:

After updating yum database, We can install picocli using dnf by running the following command:

sudo dnf -y install picocli

Update yum database with yum using the following command.

How To Uninstall picocli on Fedora 34

To uninstall only the picocli package we can use the following command:

sudo dnf remove picocli
