In this tutorial we learn how to install pdd on Fedora 34.

What is pdd

There are times you want to check how old you are (in years, months, days) or how long you need to wait for the next flash sale… pdd (python3 date diff) is a small cmdline utility to calculate date and time difference. If no program arguments are specified it shows the current date, time and timezone.

We can use yum or dnf to install pdd on Fedora 34. In this tutorial we discuss both methods but you only need to choose one of method to install pdd.

Install pdd on Fedora 34 Using dnf

Update yum database with dnf using the following command.

sudo dnf makecache --refresh

The output should look something like this:

After updating yum database, We can install pdd using dnf by running the following command:

sudo dnf -y install pdd

How To Uninstall pdd on Fedora 34

To uninstall only the pdd package we can use the following command:

sudo dnf remove pdd
