How To Install pan on Fedora 34

Introduction

In this tutorial we learn how to install pan on Fedora 34.

What is pan

Pan is a Usenet newsreader which attempts to be pleasant to new and advanced users alike. It has all the standard newsreaders features and also supports offline reading, scoring and killfiles, yEnc, NZB, PGP handling, multiple servers, and secure connections. It is also the only Unix newsreader to get a perfect score on the Good Net-Keeping Seal of Approval evaluations.

We can use yum or dnf to install pan on Fedora 34. In this tutorial we discuss both methods but you only need to choose one of method to install pan.

Install pan on Fedora 34 Using dnf

Update yum database with dnf using the following command.

sudo dnf makecache --refresh

The output should look something like this:

After updating yum database, We can install pan using dnf by running the following command:

sudo dnf -y install pan

Install pan on Fedora 34 Using yum

Update yum database with yum using the following command.

How To Uninstall pan on Fedora 34

To uninstall only the pan package we can use the following command:
