Introduction

In this tutorial we learn how to install nec2c on Fedora 34.

What is nec2c

nec2c is a translation of the Numerical Electromagnetics Code (NEC2) from FORTRAN to C. Operationally nec2c differs from NEC2 by being a command line non-interactive program, taking as arguments the input file name and optionally the output file name.

We can use yum or dnf to install nec2c on Fedora 34. In this tutorial we discuss both methods but you only need to choose one of method to install nec2c.
