How To Install mod_annodex on Fedora 34

mod_annodex is Apache module for server-side support of annodex media

Introduction

In this tutorial we learn how to install mod_annodex on Fedora 34.

What is mod_annodex

mod_annodex provides full support for Annodex.net media. For more details about annodex format, see http mod_annodex is a handler for type application/x-annodex. It provides the following features * dynamic generation of Annodex media from CMML files. * handling of timed query offsets, such as http or http * dynamic retrieval of CMML summaries, if the Accept prefers type text/x-cmml over application/x-annodex.

We can use yum or dnf to install mod_annodex on Fedora 34. In this tutorial we discuss both methods but you only need to choose one of method to install mod_annodex.

Install mod_annodex on Fedora 34 Using dnf

Update yum database with dnf using the following command.

sudo dnf makecache --refresh

The output should look something like this:

After updating yum database, We can install mod_annodex using dnf by running the following command:

sudo dnf -y install mod_annodex

Install mod_annodex on Fedora 34 Using yum

Update yum database with yum using the following command.

How To Uninstall mod_annodex on Fedora 34

To uninstall only the mod_annodex package we can use the following command:

sudo dnf remove mod_annodex
