What is mkproject

Make Project is a command that makes project skeletons. Make Project automatizes the task of starting a new project with the information provided from the command line. The package created by default is a ‘hello world’ project of the selected skeleton that is managed with auto tools. There are skeletons for bash, c, c library, python, c++, c++ library and Perl.

We can use yum or dnf to install mkproject on Fedora 34. In this tutorial we discuss both methods but you only need to choose one of method to install mkproject.

Install mkproject on Fedora 34 Using dnf

Update yum database with dnf using the following command.

sudo dnf makecache --refresh

The output should look something like this:

After updating yum database, We can install mkproject using dnf by running the following command:

sudo dnf -y install mkproject
