Introduction

In this tutorial we learn how to install metapixel on Fedora 34.

What is metapixel

A program for generating photomosaics. It can generate classical photomosaics, in which the source image is viewed as a matrix of equally sized rectangles for each of which a matching image is substituted, as well as collage-style photomosaics, in which rectangular parts of the source image at arbitrary positions (i.e. not aligned to a matrix) are substituted by matching images.

We can use yum or dnf to install metapixel on Fedora 34. In this tutorial we discuss both methods but you only need to choose one of method to install metapixel.

Install metapixel on Fedora 34 Using dnf

Update yum database with dnf using the following command.

sudo dnf makecache --refresh

The output should look something like this:

After updating yum database, We can install metapixel using dnf by running the following command:

sudo dnf -y install metapixel

How To Uninstall metapixel on Fedora 34

To uninstall only the metapixel package we can use the following command:
