In this tutorial we learn how to install liburing on Fedora 34.

What is liburing

Provides native async IO for the Linux kernel, in a fast and efficient manner, for both buffered and O_DIRECT. liburing 0.7 4.fc34 x86_64 26 k liburing-0.7-4.fc34.src.rpm fedora Linux-native io_uring I/O access library https (GPLv2 with exceptions and LGPLv2+) or MIT Provides native async IO for the Linux kernel, in a fast and efficient manner, for both buffered and O_DIRECT.

We can use yum or dnf to install liburing on Fedora 34. In this tutorial we discuss both methods but you only need to choose one of method to install liburing.

Install liburing on Fedora 34 Using dnf

Update yum database with dnf using the following command.

sudo dnf makecache --refresh

The output should look something like this:

After updating yum database, We can install liburing using dnf by running the following command:

sudo dnf -y install liburing

Install liburing on Fedora 34 Using yum

Update yum database with yum using the following command.

How To Uninstall liburing on Fedora 34

To uninstall only the liburing package we can use the following command:
