In this tutorial we learn how to install LibRaw on Fedora 34.

What is LibRaw

LibRaw is a library for reading RAW files obtained from digital photo cameras (CRW/CR2, NEF, RAF, DNG, and others). LibRaw is based on the source codes of the dcraw utility, where part of drawbacks have already been eliminated and part will be fixed in future. Install LibRaw on Fedora 34 Using dnf

Update yum database with dnf using the following command.

sudo dnf makecache --refresh

The output should look something like this:

After updating yum database, We can install LibRaw using dnf by running the following command:

sudo dnf -y install LibRaw

Install LibRaw on Fedora 34 Using yum

Update yum database with yum using the following command.

sudo yum makecache --refresh

How To Uninstall LibRaw on Fedora 34

To uninstall only the LibRaw package we can use the following command:

sudo dnf remove LibRaw
