How To Install libburn on Fedora 34

In this tutorial we learn how to install libburn
on Fedora 34.
What is libburn
Libburn is a library by which preformatted data get onto optical media CD, DVD and BD (Blu-Ray). It also offers a facility for reading data blocks from its drives without using the normal block device I/O, which has advantages and disadvantages. It seems appropriate, nevertheless, to do writing and reading via same channel. On several Linux systems, the block device driver needs reloading of the drive tray in order to make available freshly written data. The libburn read function does not need such a reload. We can use yum
or dnf
to install libburn
on Fedora 34. In this tutorial we discuss both methods but you only need to choose one of method to install libburn.
Install libburn on Fedora 34 Using dnf
Update yum database with dnf
using the following command.
sudo dnf makecache --refresh
The output should look something like this:

After updating yum database, We can install libburn
using dnf
by running the following command:
sudo dnf -y install libburn

using the following command.
