How To Install ladvd on Fedora 34

ladvd is CDP/LLDP sender for UNIX

Introduction

In this tutorial we learn how to install ladvd on Fedora 34.

What is ladvd

ladvd uses CDP / LLDP frames to inform switches about connected hosts, which simplifies Ethernet switch management. Every 30 seconds it will transmit CDP/ LLDP packets reflecting the current system state. Interfaces (bridge, bonding, wireless), capabilities (bridging, forwarding, wireless) and addresses (IPv4, IPv6) are detected dynamically.

We can use yum or dnf to install ladvd on Fedora 34. In this tutorial we discuss both methods but you only need to choose one of method to install ladvd.
