How To Install kbd on Fedora 34

kbd is Tools for configuring the console (keyboard, virtual terminals, etc.)

In this tutorial we learn how to install kbd on Fedora 34.

What is `kbd`

The kbd package contains tools for managing a Linux system’s console’s behavior, including the keyboard, the screen fonts, the virtual terminals and font files.

We can use yum or dnf to install kbd on Fedora 34. In this tutorial we discuss both methods but you only need to choose one of method to install kbd.

Install kbd on Fedora 34 Using dnf

Update yum database with dnf using the following command.

sudo dnf makecache --refresh

The output should look something like this:

After updating yum database, We can install kbd using dnf by running the following command:

sudo dnf -y install kbd
