Introduction

In this tutorial we learn how to install kbackup on Fedora 34.

What is kbackup

KBackup is a program that lets you back up any directories or files, whereby it uses an easy to use directory tree to select the things to back up. The program was designed to be very simple in its use so that it can be used by non-computer experts. The storage format is the well known TAR format, whereby the data is still stored in compressed format (bzip2 or gzip).

We can use yum or dnf to install kbackup on Fedora 34. In this tutorial we discuss both methods but you only need to choose one of method to install kbackup.

Install kbackup on Fedora 34 Using dnf

Update yum database with dnf using the following command.

sudo dnf makecache --refresh

The output should look something like this:

After updating yum database, We can install kbackup using dnf by running the following command:

sudo dnf -y install kbackup

How To Uninstall kbackup on Fedora 34
