What is jsch

JSch allows you to connect to an sshd server and use port forwarding, X11 forwarding, file transfer, etc., and you can integrate its functionality into your own Java programs.

We can use yum or dnf to install jsch on Fedora 34. In this tutorial we discuss both methods but you only need to choose one of method to install jsch.

Install jsch on Fedora 34 Using dnf

Update yum database with dnf using the following command.

sudo dnf makecache --refresh

The output should look something like this:

After updating yum database, We can install jsch using dnf by running the following command:

sudo dnf -y install jsch

How To Uninstall jsch on Fedora 34

To uninstall only the jsch package we can use the following command:

sudo dnf remove jsch
