How To Install jaxen on Fedora 34

In this tutorial we learn how to install jaxen on Fedora 34.

What is jaxen

Jaxen is an open source XPath library written in Java. It is adaptable to many different object models, including DOM, XOM, dom4j, and JDOM. Is it also possible to write adapters that treat non-XML trees such as compiled Java byte code or Java beans as XML, thus enabling you to query these trees with XPath too.

We can use yum or dnf to install jaxen on Fedora 34. In this tutorial we discuss both methods but you only need to choose one of method to install jaxen.

Install jaxen on Fedora 34 Using dnf

Update yum database with dnf using the following command.

sudo dnf makecache --refresh

The output should look something like this:

After updating yum database, We can install jaxen using dnf by running the following command:

sudo dnf -y install jaxen

Install jaxen on Fedora 34 Using yum

Update yum database with yum using the following command.

How To Uninstall jaxen on Fedora 34

To uninstall only the jaxen package we can use the following command:

sudo dnf remove jaxen
