In this tutorial we learn how to install hans on Fedora 34.

What is hans

Hans makes it possible to tunnel IPv4 through ICMP echo packets, so you could call it a ping tunnel. This can be useful when you find yourself in the situation that your Internet access is firewalled, but pings are allowed. Hans runs on Linux as a client and a server. It runs on Mac OS X, iPhone/iPod touch, FreeBSD and OpenBSD as a client only. You probably want also install packages hans-client or hans-server or both

We can use yum or dnf to install hans on Fedora 34. In this tutorial we discuss both methods but you only need to choose one of method to install hans.

Install hans on Fedora 34 Using dnf

Update yum database with dnf using the following command.

sudo dnf makecache --refresh

The output should look something like this:

After updating yum database, We can install hans using dnf by running the following command:

sudo dnf -y install hans

How To Uninstall hans on Fedora 34
