What is gst123
The program gst123 is designed to be a more flexible command line player in the spirit of ogg123 and mpg123, based on gstreamer. It plays all file formats gstreamer understands, so if you have a music collection which contains different file formats, you can use gst123 to play all your music files.
We can use yum
or dnf
to install gst123
on Fedora 34. In this tutorial we discuss both methods but you only need to choose one of method to install gst123.
Install gst123 on Fedora 34 Using dnf
Update yum database with dnf
using the following command.
sudo dnf makecache --refresh
The output should look something like this:

After updating yum database, We can install gst123
using dnf
by running the following command:
sudo dnf -y install gst123
